Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using The Expedition mobile application (“App”) operated by The Expedition Media LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

The Expedition is a travel planning application that allows you to:

• Save travel content (articles, videos, social media posts) by submitting URLs
• Receive AI-generated travel recommendations extracted from your submitted content
• Organize recommendations into trips and destinations

2. Account Registration

• You must sign in using Apple Sign In to use the App
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

3. AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to extract and summarize travel recommendations from content you submit. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated recommendations are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current. Businesses may close, hours may change, and quality may vary.
• AI-generated content represents the AI's interpretation of source material and should not be treated as professional travel advice
• You should independently verify important details (hours, prices, availability, safety) before relying on any recommendation
• We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on AI-generated recommendations

4. User-Submitted Content

When you submit URLs to the App:

• You represent that you have the right to access the content at those URLs
• We process the content at those URLs solely to generate recommendations for you
• We do not redistribute or publicly display the original source content
• We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Submit URLs containing illegal, harmful, or malicious content
• Attempt to interfere with the App's operation or security
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Use automated means to access the App (bots, scrapers)

6. Intellectual Property

• The App, its design, code, and branding are owned by The Expedition Media LLC
• AI-generated recommendations are provided for your personal use
• You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (trip names, notes, context)
• Third-party content accessed via submitted URLs remains the property of its respective owners

7. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
• Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• AI-generated recommendations will be accurate or reliable
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Any defects will be corrected

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Expedition Media LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the App
• Any AI-generated content or recommendations
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party content accessed through the App

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Expedition Media LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
